I am a designer at Eriko Yamaguchi. I would like to share with you where my inspiration came from and what I am particular about when I am making a product.

Inspiration.
India is proud of its kadi, a hand-spun and hand-woven material. The thickest of these yarns is called "0 kadi.
Since it is hand-spun, it is characterized by its unevenness, with some of the thicker yarns being slightly thinner than others and some being thicker than others.
This time, we tried a type called "slub," which emphasizes the unevenness in the thickness of 0 kadi.
Both the warp and weft yarns are highly uneven, and at a glance it is clear that this is not a mass-produced fabric woven by machine. Even colors such as black and white express a very vivid depth due to the uneven surface.
I am a little proud of the fact that we can produce this texture in the modern world.
I am a little proud of being able to produce this texture in this day and age.
The first sample I made in black was an open-shoulder top that was unusually feminine for ERIKO YAMAGUCHI.
There are off-the-shoulder clothes on the market, but I didn't really like the way they opened, so I arrived at the size and angle of the space where the skin is visible through trial and error.
The décolleté is square and open, and the shoulders only show a triangle. I developed the feeling that the gravity of the fabric is caught by the shoulder belt because I wanted to create a shimmering and interesting effect of the main body fabric.
My Styling
It is also a good idea to wear it with straight pants in the same color or with relaxed bottoms like the one shown at White.
In winter, it is also highly recommended to wear the off-shoulder style with a turtleneck sweater or white shirt for a classic look.
